Invitation Club Run

17th May 2010

CMC National Motoring Heritage Day.

Many thanks to Steve K & Tim G for the photo's.

Perfect weather for getting the Stude out for a run.

The Council of Motor Clubs helped to organised a national motoring day for all motoring enthusiasts to use their pride and joy to either join their club, or visit one of the organised locations.

In Sydney, we had the choice of 5 venues;

BELLA VISTA HOMESTEAD, BELLA VISTA
MULGOA PARK, MULGOA
CHEVALIER COLLEGE, BURRADOO
BERRY SHOWGROUND, BERRY
AUSTRALIAN MOTORLIFE MUSEUM, KEMBLA GRANGE
.

A few Stude members ventured out to enjoy the day.

Three members met up at Bella Vista Homestead;

Tim G

Steve K

Chris R

Chris went to check out the magnificent property, while Tim and I checked out the vehicles on display.

There was a nice selection of vehicles, ranging from Veteran Cadillac, to A Model Fords, to Leyland Force 7, to Mopar, and ultimately our Studebakers.

After Tim and I had tyre kicked our way around the display, and seeing as it was still relatively early, we decided to go for a run to Mulgoa.

Not quite as many vehicles at Mulgoa, but nice cars to check out just the same.  Apparently there were more vehicles earlier, but they had moved on to some of the other venues as well.

We met up with Dave G, who was out in his brand X.

Tea, coffee and bickies were on offer, and rounded off the day very nicely.

BELLA VISTA HOMESTEAD, BELLA VISTA.

Who is this hooded hoodlem?

Here is a rare beast. 1962 Auto Union 1000 Sp Cabriolet, 3 cylinder, 2 stroke.

Nice fins.

Another rare one.  The Leyland Force 7.

MULGOA PARK, MULGOA.

A very picturesque park to have a leisurely picnic.

And something for our 2 wheeling friends.

Another vehicle not seen too often, 1924 Jewett Tourer.
