The weather was a bit questionable this year with rain the few days before, but it wasn't raining when I climbed out of bed, so all is good. Our allotted time for arrival at the Domain Car Park was 7:50am which was a bit more civilised than previous years.
My mate Dennis and I cruised along the M5, with a few other classic vehicles heading the same way, and arrived in plenty of time to have a sausage sanger, and coffee put on by the NRMA, and Lions Club.
There didn't seem to be as many people around this year, so the weather may have influenced some to leave their vehicles in the garage.
At our scheduled time of departure of 8:50, we left the Domain in convoy and were very quickly parked in position. Much better organised than last year's effort (or lack there off)
We had 3 Studes park together, with Joe's 26 Duplex, Gary K's 62 Lark, and Steve K's 63 Lark Cruiser. Another Stude custom owned by Paul was spotted parked elsewhere. A few past and present members were spotted wandering around the crowd as well.
As usual, there was a great range of vehicles on display, and the day is always worth participating in.
Hope we can get a few more members along next year.
Steve K.
