Newcastle Concours, Maitland.

I have just returned from the Concours which was a display day only and members choosing top ten.

The park was a picturesque ex Waterboard facility, now used as parkland.

We had six groups of Sydney members attending with Dave Denton and Jeff Potter's cars in the top ten.

Top car was Stephanie West and Nathan Kramer's 1960 Lark, and John Cosgrove from Brisbane taking a prize for longest distance.

A good crowd was down from Queensland including Lorna Venema who had lost John only a few months back.  She wanted a group photo and I managed to get one.

Also, the Newcastle club put on a BBQ lunch and salad with the wives doing a great job.

Janice, Rachael, Sue and Michelle making the best cakes I've tasted.

It was a cooler, overcast day, not too hot and traffic on the Freeway was light.

Total of 21 car on show, 4 from Sydney and 3 from Brisbane the rest local from Newcastle.
