History of this Vehicle
1962 - 1999 Ordered by Roth Swan in late 1961 for export to Bangkok.
Roth was an Australian naval commander during the Viet Nam war, and was stationed in Bangkok directing naval missions. He used the car there & imported it to Australia in 1963.
The current engine is reported to be out of Bert Needham's '64 2 door Bathurst race car, which is why it goes well.
1999 - Today Owned by Darryn Fisher (NSW), who has added many Studebaker options, and personal touches to make this vehicle quite unique.
Repainted & reconditioned engine 1988, I have full reconditioned all mechanicals, discs, LSD, 3 sp o/d box, HD clutch & pressure plate, rear sway bar, cast iron headers, electronic ignition & soon to get traction bars.
