The back story;
It was my Dad’s.
He took ownership when he was 19years old and had it in his possession
until he sadly passed away at 78yr last year. He bought it from a police
officer who had the same model and only wanted the canopy to fit to his
own Studebaker.
It drove into our house at Ashmore 45years ago and ran well.
She was housed there until the last 3 years where and has been in our
garage at Springwood up on mounts.
Dad collected parts for it over the years and it has a box of spare
parts as well as the original manual.
My Dad's retirement dream was to restore this car. Sadly, dementia did
not allow this.
She means a lot to us, but I know she will not get restored by anyone in
my family.
I would like for someone to take this beauty and restore her to her
former glory to fulfil my Dads dream.
Her name is ‘Ruby’ named after my grandma. Ruby the human just turned 98
last week.
The first image below is when she went into the garage at Ashmore all
those years ago.
The others were taken when we moved her to Springwood.
Stored indoors since 1964.
Minus hood but some hood bows are present.
Minus rear seat.
Mechanical condition is unknown.
Comes with used pistons and crankshaft which may have been part of an
earlier engine overhaul.
Head light centres in the car.
Some history available in a logbook up until 1960’s.
Located on the Southside of Brisbane.
